HO Train Layouts

Designing your own HO train layout can be one of the most rewarding and fun aspects of model railroading. taking an idea from your head or creating a scale e model of a rail system from the real world will give you hours of satisfaction. However, if you are new to the world of train layout or train modeling in general, I would suggest that you get a few good books and magazines on the subject. Your local library should have something on model trains, but it has been my experience that there selection will probably be scarce. Another option is the book store or  hobby shop; again the selection of books and magazines on the topic of ho train layout and model train layout in general will be far from what you might expect.

Online book stores offer the best opportunity for getting the material you will need to arm yourself with the knowledge to build your own scale model train layout. Alibris and Amazon are two of the best online book stores out there. Alibris offers the best used books and out of print books on model train layout and model railroading.
