Bachman Model Trains

Originally, in 1833, the Bachman company started out manufacturing handmade horn and ivory products including combs, barrettes and umbrella handles. By 1984, the Bachmann Company had changed products ( model trains ) and was bought out by the Kadar Company; A company that had been manufacturing Models and toys, then model trains, since 1948.

In 1989, Bachman Industries was set up in Europe, eventually acquiring Liliput and Graham Farish, both manufacturers of model trains, to become by 2000 the largest model railway maker in the world.
